Customer data responsibilities
By utilizing the CARTO platform and connecting your own cloud data warehouse to access your data; you acknowledge that - as the customer - you are the solely responsible for the backup, recovery, and availability of your data.
CARTO provides a cloud native platform for geospatial analysis and visualization but it does not assume any responsibility for the security, integrity, or availability of any data that is stored and processed in your own data warehouse.
1. Backup: The customer is responsible for implementing and maintaining a robust data backup strategy for the connected data warehouse. We recommend you to regularly backup your data to prevent data loss in case of accidental deletion, corruption, or other unforeseen events.
2. Recovery: In the event of data loss, the customer is responsible for initiating and managing the recovery process at the connected data warehouse platform.
3. Availability: The customer is responsible for ensuring the availability of the data hosted in the connected cloud data warehouse platform.
