Fast, copy-paste deployments for evaluating or prototyping CARTO Self-Hosted

Quickstarts are designed to get CARTO Self-Hosted running as fast as possible: ideal for POCs, evaluations, or sandbox environments. Each quickstart uses defaults where possible so you can focus on getting to a working deployment quickly.

Quickstarts are not suitable for production. For a production-grade installation with full configuration options, use the Deployment Guides.

Prerequisites

Before running a quickstart, make sure you have:

• A CARTO license. Contact [e-mail] if you haven't received one.

• A domain name with DNS control (required for HTTPS access)

• Access to a cloud environment or local machine that meets the minimum hardware requirements

Choose your quickstart

Single Virtual Machine deployment

Deploy on a single virtual machine using Kots. Simplest path to a working CARTO instance.

Standard Orchestrated container deployment

Deploy on Kubernetes using the Kots Admin Console. Good for teams already running K8s.

Advanced Orchestrated container deployment

Deploy on Kubernetes using Helm. Best for teams who prefer declarative configuration.
